Apparently Joss Whedon is going to direct the Avengers film. I for one not really being a big fan of western comics or the Marvel superhero films have no real thoughts on this matter. But what are everyone elses?
Buffy RPG on Dreamwidth
Mar. 6th, 2010 10:32 amI have a poll up on my journal for people potentially interested in a Buffy RPG: http://yvi.dreamwidth.org/108429.html
It may be a bit amateur-ish, but I am new to this all and suddenly had the urge to start one :)

When will Dollhouse air?
Jan. 22nd, 2010 08:48 pmNot that I begrudge the time given to 'Hope for Haiti Now', but I'm also eager to see the final episode of Dollhouse. Anybody heard anything about when it will be shown?
(no subject)
Jan. 15th, 2010 09:20 pmIn the middle of the episode I just have to say how happy I am that we got to see Victor-as-Topher again - that is so cute!!
Techland have announced their Best of the Decade: Characters list, with Wash from Firefly taking out fourth, and Dr. Horrible coming in at number 8
Buffy the Animated Series
Nov. 19th, 2009 11:34 amWord is that Joss Whedon will be turning his attention to an animated series of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, based on the Buffy Season 8 comics.
Apparently the series will not be focusing on Buffy, but rather the new characters that have been developed in the comic series.
According to the casting notice the voice actor's they're looking for are: Faith, Kennedy, Robin Wood as well as Twilight and Lady Genevieve Savidge

Dr. Horrible Sequel update
Nov. 12th, 2009 10:46 amMTV had an interview with Zack Whedon regarding the Dr. Horrible sequel.
Looks like might be bumped up a little with the cancellation of Dollhouse, so I guess that's a positive there. And apparently there will be a Dr. Horrible comic published by Dark Horse

Dollhouse to become just an echo...
Nov. 12th, 2009 10:43 amSadly Dollhouse has been cancelled. It will finish up it's 13 episode season and then cease :( At least according to James Hibberd
Farewell Dollhouse it was fun while it lasted and we'll always have DVDs and re-runs!

Reason #458 why Joss Whedon is God!
Nov. 11th, 2009 10:48 amThis is one of the many reasons I love being a geek. Viral marketing is so much more fun that your usual television ads, which I don't watch anyway!
The Rossum Corportation's Website
Senator Daniel Perrin's blog (you can also add him on Facebook!)
And apparently someone rang the Rossum Corporation phone number on the website and got a phone message back saying "Ditch the Tech" so I give you:
ditchthetech.com
Somewhere apparently are some "leaked" memo's from Adelle about the Dollhouse so if anyone knows where they are, please link me!

Firefly Rewatch: 1.04 Bushwacked
Jun. 1st, 2009 12:26 am
This week, our episode to watch is Bushwacked. I have to admit that I haven't yet watched The Train Job, but I have succeeded in finding my DVD player remote! Hooray! This means that I can actually watch with subtitles again, and will probably watch both episodes tomorrow :)
Have fun watching, guys!
Firefly big bang?
May. 25th, 2009 11:12 amHello Firefly fans (I suppose there are a lot here :)),
I am trying to judge if there is any interest in a Firefly big bang challenge. Please participate in the poll on my Dreamwidth journal so that I can see whether there are enough interested writers/artists/etc to start one :)

Fox To Dollhouse Fan Site: "Shut Up"
May. 25th, 2009 01:38 pmA little harsh I think, but apparently Fox's publicity department have gotten angry at the rumours posted on a Dollhouse Fan Site and sent them an angry email:
Clearing up your misperceptions of the show has become very time consuming and frankly takes away valuable time that could be spent actively marketing the series in the proper way.
Anyway for more information here is the original article I stole the title from and here is the original post on the fansite which received the email.
Don't these publicity guys know not to put things like this in writing?

Reminiscing of Firefly
May. 25th, 2009 09:12 amWhenever I watch Firefly, I'm always reminded of the first time I ever saw it. I was such a big Dark Angel fan, that when they took my Jensen Ackles and Jessica Alba away from me for a Space Cowboy show I refused to watch said show. Then came the Serenity trailers... I was in love. How could I not have watched the show that spawned what looked to be such an awesome movie. Then someone told me it was Joss Whedon's work. Now prior to this I was never particularly big on fandoms. I had been quite into the Buffy fandom in the early days, however that had slipped by the wayside about Season 4 when they took away my Angel/Buffy, but I digress
I was spending the summer with my family in Australia and on our way home from the movies where we saw the trailer for Serenity I insisted that we stop at the video store to see if they had Firefly on DVD to rent. They surely did. What occurred next was a TV marathon of epic proportions. My little sister and I put on the DVD to check out the first episode, and got up about 13 hours later having watched the whole thing!
What can I say it was love at first sight. The introductions to all the characters in Serenity (and now I'm talking about the episode and not the movie) was brilliant. I mean Wash with his dinosaurs, Kaylee in the engine room, Simon... They just really set the scene for the characters. One of the most outstanding and amazing moments for me in this episode however would have to be the moment where Mal realises what Simon has in his luggage. I still get goosebumps now after the 12th time I've watched this episode.
